2011 Scholarship Winners


AAHC Grant Program
Through the generosity of the City of Bartlesville and a matching grant opportunity given by the Oklahoma Arts Council, the AAHC is able to give grants, up to $1,000, to our member 501(c)(3) organizations.  This last year we gave grants to support the following:

Pioneer Production of “Love Town” (September 2010) $1,000.00

Theater Bartlesville “Kitchen Witches” (November 2010)$750.00

Children's Musical Theatre  “Cinderella” Workshop (March 2011)   $800.00
(event did not happen, monies used for Summer performance)

Bartlesville Art Association Annual Spring Art Show (April 2011)   $500.00

Ray of Hope Advocacy Center - The h'ART of a Child (April 2011)  $500.00

Bartlesville Civic Ballet, Inc. - "Arvola’s Legendary Series" (April 2011)$1,000.00

Young Professionals HOT Street Party (July 2011)     $1,000.00

SPOTLITE began on January 9, 2012 with artist in-residence, Nick Sweet, heading into the 4th grade classrooms of our local schools.  Our final week will conclude in the Bartlesville Community Center with hands-on instruction.

Missoula Children's Theatre will hold audition's for this year's production, Cinderella, on Monday, February 13 at 4:00 sharp on the stage at the Bartlesville Community Center.  Performances for this show will be held Friday, February 17 at 12:15 & 7:00 at the BCC.  Ticket prices are $8.50/adults & $4.50/children.  We hope you can join us!  Call 918-337-2787 for tickets.

Allied Arts and Humanities Council's 40th Annual Awards Banquet is Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn.  Join us as we honor country singer-songwriter Becky Hobbs, local sculptor Janice Albro, local music and theater volunteer Ann Dougherty, local artist Susan Murphy, and local legends Diana Farris, Margery Maple, and Dolores McCreary as The Three Old Broads.  Tickets are $50 and can be reserved by emailing aahcb-director@sbcglobal.net or calling 918-337-2005.
AAHC is excited to announce their partnership with Indian Dance, LLC in the production of Wahzhazhe, a ballet depicting the history of the Osage Nation.  We are proud to be working with producer, Randy Smith, on this unique and beautiful project.  Follow this link to read the entire press release.  For more information visit the Osage Ballet website and facebook page.
