Mission Statement

In order to nurture and preserve the ideals of education, culture and citizenship, the Council actively supports Arts and Humanities activities in our community.

 

GOALS

Education/Programming - To ensure that all segments of the community, including students and adults, have opportunities to learn in, through and about the arts and humanities. Increase the community’s participation in the Arts and Humanities.

 Awareness - To promote cultural activities in the community through awareness, information distribution, improved access and recognition of achievement.

Growth and Support - For Arts and Humanities organizations to be able to emerge, grow and stabilize with the community.  Provide Member Organizations with financial, administrative and educational assistance.

 Facilitating and Planning - To facilitate the implementation of cohesive, effective and comprehensive long-range cultural affairs programs and policies for the community.

Funding  - To promote adequate and consistent financial support for facilities and cultural affairs for the community.  Expand its revenue base.
